Aura was the first restaurant my wife and I went to after coming to Victoria. This restaurant is found inside of the Inn at Laurel Point hotel. The restaurant looked nice and the outside patio tables had a great view of the water and The Empress hotel. The service was excellent with everyone, not just your main server, keeping tabs on you. I believe, four people filled our glasses throughout our dinner. Food-wise it was great. The Hokkaido milk bread was the best part of the entire meal. It was simple but delicious. With the honey butter, it just got better. The steak was tender and flavourful. The potatoes, asparagus and salsa verde that came with it were excellent additions. The chicken -- cooked nicely and juicy -- was a pleasure to eat. The risotto with it, helps give the chicken dish a nice creaminess. We ended with a dessert -- the Koji Noir -- it was delicious. The alcohol taste from the sake added depthness to the overall experience. We enjoyed our time ar Aura. It is pricey so be warned but the food and service definitely makes it worth it. If you haven't tried, I recommend the Dine Around Dinner in Aura. Scrumptious food, fresh, and in my opinion, the flavors are just not something I can conjure up my kitchen so it's worth the money. They have the taster menu, if there's 2 of you it will be served family style. The server Kain, was very knowledgeable and I liked that he was very patient when we admit we don't know what type of wine to order. Food was served in a decent pace. Overall a really pleasant experience. This Dine Around is only until Feb 8, 2025 I think.

A fabulous spot to have lunch. We shared a charcuterie board which was full of great cheese, meat and fruit as well as crackers and bread. Spot on. I had the moules in Tom yum broth which were probably the best mussels I have ever had. The broth was perfectly balanced with chilli and coriander. A pint of the red amber ale went well with it. We also had a salmon burger and there were lots of gluten free options. Our waiter was superb too. Just go, you won’t regret it!

Excellent food here. I had the braised beef hash bowl for breakfast with coffee. The coffee is good and strong and the meal was superb. I really enjoyed the service here. The servers were efficient and friendly without being overly fake in their affect. They were real (and pretty cool) people who treated customers well. The overall vibe here is relaxed elegance. if you get a table with a view of the waterfront your day is made.

What a fantastic dinner experience. Best in years. We splurged on the chef's platter, and while pricy, it was worth every cent. Large deliciously sweet scallop in a fabulous sauce, followed by a small creamy bowl of soup which was so rich and flavorful. It also came with a melt-in-your-mouth bun with a delicious butter I'd never even heard of. I could have just eaten that all meal and been happy. Then we got octopus and a salad with blue cheese dressing. Both were exotic and interesting, though not the highlights of the meal. Then came the duck and the lingcod - both amazing, with the duck winning the day, imo. For dessert we got three chocolate pastries each - and each one was beautifully crafted and provided great blend of flavor and texture. Service was awesome - atmosphere was great - food presentation was great - a fantastic evening with my wife!

My family brought me to celebrate my Graduation. Absolutely delicious food, from appetizers to our entree. We enjoy the Thunderbird sparkling spring water with lime and it was amazing! The hostess was so incredible and made our dining experience exceptional. I am so glad my niece chose this location for dinner, gorgeous view all around!

Overall an amazing experience. Despite being a busy night (Valentine’s Day) every part of our evening was amazing. Not a single course disappointed and I am inspired by the flavours from our dinner. All this to say the highlight of our night was still our waiter Liam. Our night wouldn’t have been nearly as special without his kindness and care (and consideration to my allergies). Thank you!

This restaurant is located inside The Inn at Laurel Point. It's very classy with a great menu. The drink menu was superb. I had the blood orange cider and the grilled chicken sandwich, yum. It is a pricey restaurant, I guess you are paying for the atmosphere along with the food. But service was super quick. Our server was so nice and friendly. I recommend eating there at least once if you're staying in the hotel.
